It could be good news for eczema sufferers as one woman says a moisturiser which is specially made for babies has completely ‘cured’ her daughter’s skin condition.
The mum has called the £3.99 cream a ‘miracle’ after it appears to have cleared up her little girl’s painful eczema.
Twenty-three-year-old Paige Sweeney has spent two years taking her daughter to various doctors and dermatologists and trying different steroid creams and antibiotics but she could find nothing that worked.
Despite trying everything the doctor recommended, Evie-Rae was still getting the painful rashes around her wrists, mouth and the backs of her legs.
The condition was so bad that Evie-Rae was waking up every night and scratching her skin until it bled. Paige was out shopping one day when she spotted Childs Farm baby moisturiser in Boots and decided to give it a shot.
And, within a week, Evie-Rae’s eczema had apparently disappeared.
Paige told the MailOnline: “Within a matter of days I could see her skin starting to clear up. I couldn’t believe it.”
She also reckons the NHS could save a fortune by offering the cheap cream on prescription.
In a post on Facebook, Paige wrote: “Anybody that knows me and my daughter will know the trouble we have had with her eczema and allergies.
“We have tried every single steroid cream and moisturiser but nothing works. We see the dermatologist every eight weeks for two and half years and still no improvement.
“Was in Boots and came across this cream and bath range (Childs Farm) thought I would give it a go and look at the improvement in her skin in a week! [sic]”
Evie-Rae has been using the cream every day and her eczema still hasn’t made a comeback.
Paige isn’t the only one impressed with the ‘miracle’ cream. The Childs Farm Facebook page is full of posts from happy parents who are praising the product as well as equally chuffed adults saying it helped their skin condition, too.
